Good morning all:

I will be on 1296.100 looking south at 0930 local this morning. I will be calling on CW the first 30 seconds of the minute.

Activity the past several weeks has been quite good with quite a number of Northern and Southern California stations active.

In the way of news, Jim AF6O DM14 and Rod WI6M DM12 completed this week. This is Jim's 20th grid on 23cm - closing in on VUCC on this band. Perhaps Len WA6KLK CM89hi and Larry W6OMF CM98 will be available to keep Jim's grid count moving up? If so, I will standbye while the you guys try to complete. Rod WI6M is running 100W to a single long boom yagi so I know that many of us up here in Nor. Cal. will be working him as conditions improve - thanks Rod.

I also wanted to mention that last week I was able to hear one sequence from Gordo WB6NOA DM13bp. I believe Gordo is running low power at the moment (10-20W??) but this is existence proof that long distance low power QSO's will be completed with better spring and summer conditions on the way (or a winter airplane reflection Gordo).

One final question. The past two weeks 0.100 has been quite busy at 0930. Does anyone have an opinion on how best to coordinate the activity with the objective of minimizing QRM / maximizing QSO's completed? One possibility is to stagger the Northern stations in frequency going up every 10 KHz. Another possibility is to rotate times with one station calling for 10 minutes or so then passing it off to another station for 10 minutes. The third possibility is simply a free for all ala 20 meters! Inputs appreciated!

Best 73's and Happy New Year to all!
