Y'all in CN85 listen up, ya hear? I really should have
written up something of a report of my exploits over
Turkeshoot weekend West of Scappoosse, Oregon, above Bunker
Hill.
For those that were not on the air, (although a good number
of folks were:-) I determined based on information from
K7YO, that I was in a different, higher location than the
one that W7DSA has attempted operations from. This one
appears to be much better.
Anyway, I was able to complete an SSB QSO with WA6KLK in
CM89HI from up there.
I was running FAR LESS than a kilowatt into a 12 element
K1FO Yagi!
So if conditions are good, anything can happen but if you
are not listening around it definitely won't!
Anyone gone christmas tree hunting in the National forest
of your choice recently and can contribute a road report???
Wayne if you are lurking... Bring a BIG Yagi to run with
the KW and fix it North...
Should be lots of fun. I am thinking about how much
mountain I can get under my Bus
but with the nasty WX we have had so far, probably not
much.
