These stations were heard and logged here in Northern Cal:
K6QXY - CM88, Santa Rosa
WA6KLK - CM89, Willits
WZ6X - CM88, American Canyon
WA6UAP - CM97, San Jose
N6KLD - CM97, San Jose
WA6HTP - CM97, San Jose
KD6VS - CM97, San Jose
W6QIW - DM04, Santa Barbara
K6TSK - DM03, Anaheim
KC6SEH - CM98, Broderick
K7NOM - CM98, Elk Grove
KA6VQV - CM98, Placerville
Local conditions were not as good as last week, but the path to Steve in
DM04 was great (K6QXY reported him at s9 a couple of times, and I was able
to hear him for 10 minutes solid). Weather here was warm and calm.
We had a new station on tonight (WA6HTP). Juan was running 60w to a
circular antenna (satellite setup); welcome.
Chuck (KD6VS) reported hearing both Ralph and Steve, but was unable to
connect with his 10w and modest antenna at 30ft; he is planning some
antenna changes and higher power, so that situation is likely to change
soon.
For those who may be interested in an ad-free forum for VHF-Microwave, I
have some new software running on my website; not certain if it will be
useful, but testing it out now. There is a link to it from my main page,
or you can get there direct at:
http://w6pql.com/discussion
You will need to register as a user to post, but can browse without. Would
appreciate anyone out there trying it out and letting me know if they
think it would be useful...
Jim
