Good conditions tonight all around, with plenty of local activity. Greg
was on with a 140w amp, something he put together using parts from
discarded cellular amps, and his signal was much improved. Both Ralph and
Steve were SSB quality, though the long path had plenty of QSB. Walt was
mobile again with his IC-910 and squalo antenna, and reported hearing
Steve pretty well at sea level, but lost the signal entirely when he
climbed to about 1400 ft. There was a local cloud cover, so he may have
passed through the 'zone' on his way up the hill.
