For anyone north of Bakersfield you probably have not worked DM23. I know
I have been looking for that grid for 10 years. This morning I worked
N3IZN in DM23da (on the desert floor) on tropo on both 6 and 2m. Chris is
running 300 watts and 11elements on 2m and 50w into a Moxon on 6m. Chris
was 519-559 quality on 2m using JT65 and was 5/1 on 6m SSB. Chris is
working in the area and is occasionally active. The best place to catch
up with Chris is http://www.pingjockey.net/cgi-bin/pingtalk as he is
primarily active on meteor scatter using FSK441, but I am sure you can
persuade him into a SSB or CW sked. He mentioned that he may be setting up
on a 7000' mountain Thursday and/or Friday, so keep alert.

Thanks to Chris I only need CN71 to have worked all CA grids on 2m and only
need CN71, CM79, 93, and DM24 on 6m!
