[Wswss] N6ZE/Aeromobile: Visual Perseids Meteor Shower Observations

N6ZE/aeromobile flew from Seattle, WA (CN87) to New York, NY (FN30) at 35,000ft from 0645 - 1130 UTC, 12August2005. Observations unobscured by clouds, field of view approximately North clockwise to South with elevations up to about 60 degrees viewable by the 2 pilots. No overhead meteors noted due to aircraft fuselage; no meteors observed to West due to no mirrors installed!
 
Approximately 75 meteors sighted visually from 0645Z (near Seattle) -> 0933Z (near Green Bay, WI). 
(Sunlight precluded any visual observations after 0933Z). About 1 dozen 'nice, long burns with smoke' were noted during the night. 3 meteors/minute were noted a few times.
