A great turnout, and finally conditions were good (we were overdue). Ken
(W6IZU) had the big signal out of the Sacramento valley tonight, about s8
here in Fremont, all with 3 watts. Bill (WA6QAK) was running 60w from
Pollack Pines, and was s9+10. Ralph was good copy, and was about s2 on SSB
for a short time, and Steve had a great peak out of Santa Barbara for
about 30 seconds at 549 on CW. Steve also worked Bob (Santa Rosa), and was
also heard Q5 for several minutes by Len in Willits.

A couple of new stations are becoming regulars on the band now, Walt
(KK1CW) and Mark (K6YCV), and both are planning station improvements to
extend their reach.
