[WSWSS] Yuma 2 meter beacon operational

Hello,

I just received a message from Bob, KA6LSL in Yuma (DM22).  He has 
installed a 25W beacon on 144.289.5 zero beat.  It is currently into a 6 
element yagi pointed 295 degrees magnetic.  The antenna is on a 48ft tower 
at 400 ft above sea level. N6CA reported hearing it in Lomita with the 
peaks 10-15 dB out of the noise. Chip has a medium size yagi but he claims 
his shot in that direction is not good. I am detecting the beacon Q5 on my 
single loop from the mobile on a peak in Pt Loma, San Diego.
We will discuss alternative antennas for the beacon at the next WSWSS 
conference.
