West Coast VHFers,

The WSJTgroup is sponsoring a meteor scatter contest starting this
Friday night (Dec 10 local time) running through the weekend and ending
next Wednesday. This event coincides with the Geminid meteor shower, so
propagation should be very good. Take a look at the contest rules:

http://www.ykc.com/wa5ufh/Rally/2004GemRules.htm
http://www.ykc.com/wa5ufh/Rally/NAHSMS.htm

Any mode (SSB, CW, FSK441, JT6M, etc.) can be used during this Rally,
but the emphasis will be on WSJT FSK441a, and most of the activity will
be on or near 50.260 and 144.140 MHz. There are categories for both
Assisted (skeds, Internet, Ping Jockey, etc) and Unassisted (no Internet
or Ping Jockey during the event) entrants.

This will be a good opportunity to snag a few new grids, and to show the
rest of the country that there is some significant interest in MS out
here on the west coast.

Please look for me CQing simultaneously on 50.260 and 144.140 Friday
night and Saturday morning.

73,
Walt, AJ6T
