[Wswss] ARRL UHF Contest Results: YUCK!

N6ZE/R operated on 70 cm SSB/FM from 3 Los Angeles area grids: CM94, DM04,& DM03 during the ARRL August UHF Contest.

A total of 14 QSOs were made.3 were on 446.0 FM.
A total of 5 grids were worked.
2 stations were worked from all 3 grids.

SCORE: (14 QSO x 3)x (5 grids worked + 3 grids activated) = 316 points.

Almost no one from one of the largest U.S. metropolitan areas even bothered to turn on a rig.

Note: The N6XQ/b (DM12jr)70cm beacon was strong into DM03, DM04, & CM94...so strong in fact that it was sometimes S-9 even when the receiving antenna was lying flat in the bed of the pickup truck.
