Hello Jack,
I have been checking out the signal of the 1296.0320 MHz beacon on a
daily basis and find it is reliably in and out throughout the day
everyday at this location. The QSB is deep and it cycles in and out
about every 5 - 10 mins many times peaking well above the noise so the
18 watt beacon sounds good here in the center of the Central Valley. I
use my 2 X 35 ele M2 vertically stacked yagis up 15 feet above the
ground with a SSB SP-23 mast mount preamp to receive the beacon. The
distance to the beacon is @ 374 miles.
