[WSWSS] 222 Fall Sprint Tues Sept 30, 7-11pm local

Hi all,

The 222 Fall Sprint sponsored by the Southeastern VHF Society
is coming up next Tuesday September 30th. Sprint times are from
7 PM to 11 PM local time.

Down East Microwave (DEMI) is supporting the 222 Sprint by
offering a participation prize of a $100 gift certificate to be
presented at the SVHFS Conference. Winner to be drawn from the
list of stations that turned logs in for the 222 MHZ contest.
You do not have to be present at the conference to win.

Also, please note that the rules on arranging contacts in the
Fall Sprints are somewhat more relaxed that the usual contests.
Rule #7 states...

"7. Use of telephone, packet or internet methods to coordinate
contacts is acceptable, so long as complete exchange of call
signs and grids is accomplished on the relevant amateur radio
band."

That means you can do whatever finagling you want to get your
buddies on the air. Call them up, roust the local repeater group
into action, send e-mails etc. Just make sure that you get your
callsigns and grids exchanged on the correct amateur band and
send in that log!

of the Sprints and a list of the log checkers is posted on the
