Hi all,

I very much want to encourage everyone to send in their logs
for the Fall VHF/UHF Sprints.

Our amateur frequencies are under constant threat from others
wanting to take them and use them for their own purposes.
Operating in "on the air activities" (Fall Sprints being one
of those :-) and sending in logs to doccument that usage is a
way we can all help to protect the frequencies we have.

The commercial interests always make the case that amateur
bands are "under-utilized" or just plain barren from lack of
activity.

Please take a moment to send in your logs for the Sprints that
you have participated in. Even if you only made a few contacts
it still shows that you were there operating and using our
alloted frequency spectrum.

Logs are due four weeks from the close of a Sprint. The logs
for the 144MHz Sprint are due tomorrow October 22, 2003.
