One other trick, as i remember from my aol daz, many moons ago, might still
work (and also bypass the html problem as well), is: 1) launch aol, and
connect to them, and then minimize it, and then, 2) launch outlook
express. You would need to fill out its address book for this server (s), and
also set its properties to: plain text only. they used to seamlessly
overlap, and odds are good that they still do.. Probably would also work
with Netscape's e-mail server (as netscape is owned by aol). Just a thought
for those with these "canned" problems (aol, msn, ect.)

> Sorry for all the use of the reflectors for TEST, but I've been trying to
use AOL 7.0 & 8.0 for postings WITHOUT all of the MIME problems.
>
> Yesterday, I successfully sent postings with AOL 8.0 from my home pc by
selecting to AOL KEYWORD "AOL MAIL" and then entering AOL from there as if I
were signing on to AOL from a completely different ISP.
>
> NOTE: This posting is the first attempt to do the same thing (AOL KEYWORD:
"AOL MAIL") with AOL 7.0 on my laptop.
