[WSWSS] 4-250A question/WTB

Following this thread leaves me somewhat confused. It seams to me
that two different "grounded grid" configurations are being discussed.
There is the case of tetrode operation with the grid grounded and the
cathode
held at some voltage to derive the correct grid bias.
Then there is the case of tying the grids together so as to operate the same
as a triode with the grid grounded.
Maybe I am the only one having trouble with the explanations.
