[WSWSS] KJ6KO 1296 beacon frequency ???

I was tuning around looking for the 1296.276 KJ6KO beacon tonight (
makes a great signal source to
check my station out ) . I didn't find it on 1296.276 but instead found
it on 1295.994. Is my transverter 
broken or is the beacon really here instead ???
