Friends,

I'm trying to determine the level of activity of 5760 MHz during the
ARRL VHF contest before I buy a transverter for that band. I know that
Wayne, N6NB has that band available but don't think that he will be
active from the West Coast during this contest (I think I remember Wayne
saying he'll be operating as a rover from the East Coast during Sept's
contest.)

I have no problem adding that band to our station at CSU - Fresno (DM06)
if it will be productive with a few grids and points. I believe that
John, K6MI, could also be equipped for that band. I believe his plans
are to operate from Frasier Mt. as a QRP operation.

I must say, the few hours that I was active during the August UHF
contest, I had a ball!!! The microwave weak signal equipment works
surprisingly well! Unfortunately, my 10 GHz transverter died and I was
unable to resurrect it before the contest but should be up and working
for Sept.
