Kent,
There is a few you forgot, 2mtr. San Diego net run by Lyle KD6LUL on
Tuesday at 8:00P.M. on 144.230Mhz., this is not a WSWSS net but the
San Diego guys have been running it for years. Also, K7ICW runs a net
Sunday at 9:00A.M. on 144.200Mhz. Al has been running this net for
35 years or so hi hi. There is a 6mtr. net I think on 50.150Mhz not sure
what day that is? I do not have much interest in this band but I monitor
a lot for E-Skip opening that may go up to 2mtrs.
I don't know what you can tell your people but there always has been a
problem with activity on these bands and I don't think it will ever
change.
This is why The WSWSS got these nets going so we can show the FCC
that there is activity so we won't loose these bands.
I sure have a lot more fun working weak signal then getting on with a HT
and working through FM repeaters hi hi.
I think I got Mick KF6JBB, mad at me and I'm very sorry for that. I have
always tried to help Mick and others with making contacts up north etc.
The guys up north and the Las Vegas guys keep bugging me on the low
activity from the San Diego gang, so what can I tell them?
Hope this is of some help and you can find a way to get more activity.
73, Ralph K6TSK
