Ralph,

I've BEEN looking at the WSWSS web page. My email stated clearly 6 meters
and 2 meters. THERE AREN"T that many 2 meter nets. Lets see, Sunday, Oh
Tuesday in DM09 (not likely) and CM87 (maybe if condx good down hr in DM12),
Wednesday a swap net from DM13 and Thursday a CM98 net (maybe). Other than
those there aren't any other nets on 2 meters. If all there is to operating
the weaks signal modes on a day to day basis is a net, we're S--- outta
luck! I hear complaints as a Section Manager about many things. What do I
tell a person who is discouraged to get on 2 meters or 6 because when they
do, all they hear is static after their CQ? I suppose the weekends would
bring more activity, sometimes. I've heard the 2 meter "informal" net on
Sunday's. That is exactly what I meant. We should try and do this more
during the week also. Like a lot of folks, my interests have been in 6 and
2 meters and eventually I'll be on 222Mhz. So to say there is a lot of nets
and activity during the week, we're kidding ourselves. Still don't see any
6 meter nets. I would prefer to not to check into a net, I like to chase
grids, work weak ones and shoot the breeze. Hi, Bye nets don't make it for
me.

I'll be listening on 2 meters tonight and make a CQ or two.
