I was channel surfing on the TV and stopped on a Sacramento channel
(more than
100 miles away) and the 11pm news top story was that H. Taylor Howard
and his
stepson from AK were taking off in Tay's plane ( a Beechcraft) from San
Andreas, CA and the engine shut off when he was 300ft in the air. They
were
killed upon impact. There was a third passenger who was injured but not
killed.
Friends of his on the ground at the small airport witnessed the crash
and
reported the engine failure. Apparently this happened earlier this
evening.
