(Second send on this msg; 1st one may have gone out prematurely)....
Use of a rptr I/O below 144.5 is ILLEGAL under Part 97.....If they try to qualify it as a remotely controlled simplex li=
nk, it MUST be radio remote controlled above 222.15 MHz....and other rules apply...evidently someone has NOT read the rul=
es....get with Riley..your problem will go away quickly..
Is this a simplex IO or a duplex rptr???

Subject: [WSWSS] Ilink Repeater in the SSB portion of 2M in DM04
Dear Members,
It appears WB6ZKC is now running an ILINK repeater on 144.255 using FM. This repeater has been in use for about a week or=
so and is listed as a node on the ILINK server. It is also possible for those in the San Fernando Valley to hear this re=
peater by listening to 144.255 or using the ILINK system. When it was mentioned to his users that they should consider a =
different freq. for their link, they responded that they never heard the SSB while in FM mode and has no idea as to their=
existence. It has been nicely explained that they cannot receive SSB signals on an FM only transceiver. I am bringing th=
is to the groups attention because I have noticed increased FM activity in the SSB portion.
73,
Brian, W2BRI
