[WSWSS] 2M beacon?

Hi all,

I have a quick question regarding 2M beacons.

I am about to place a 2M beacon in operation  on 144.291.0MHz.

I would like opinions as to the antenna type.
Halo vs. Beam.

or in other words.

Should I make this an Aurora beacon with a beam antenna pointed NE, or use
an omni antenna like a HALO and make it a "general purpose" beacon?

The beacon will have 10W initially. I may add a 100W amp in the future.

The beacon will be located here on the front range of the Northern Rockies
in DN47hl.
