[WRL] WANTED 755 VFO parts unit

My particular 755 and the VFO in my Globe Champion 350A seem to be about the same stability after warm up.  However, I haven't actually put a frequency counter on both VFOs to get an "exact" reading.  But, in general use, the stability is very good and I don't see any real difference between the VFOs.

As for differences among an individual model:  Leo Meyerson was famous for using whatever he had around at the time and was also famous for trying to get the lowest price on parts.  He would also use things like older cabinet styles, panels, and so forth, on current production items.  My Globe Champion 350A is such an example.  The circuitry is definitely late 350A production but the cabinet is like from a 300 model.  The front panel had the "A" added.  I had several E-Mail exchanges with Leo a year, or so, before he died about the transmitter.  He told me that my unit was a very late production model and that he wasn't going to let anything like the "wrong" cabinet or modified panel stand in the way of selling any unit!

I tried replacing the 6AU6 with the 6AH6 and could not see any difference.
I have both the 755 and the 755A and neither varied.

My 755 has a 1K, 1 W resistor between the two sections of the PS
electrolytic filter capacitor, whereas the 755A that I have has a choke.
Both of mine were factory build and had one previous owner before me, he did
not open the case on either.

Like any WRL equipment there are differences in various examples of the same
model number.  Both are stable after warm up, but neither are as stable as
the VFO in my Champ 300A.
