The WRL 755A VFO is fairly scarce. It is definitely
one of the better VFOs from the late 1950s. Depending
on condition I have seen them go from around $50 to as
much as $150. My first VFO when I upgraded to General
Class in 1959 was the WRL 755. It took several years
before I was able to acquire another 755 to recreate
my original station. The 755A differs slightly from
the 755 in circuitry. However, the major difference
is in the looks of the dial.
The Globe Chief 90 and Globe Chief 90A are fairly
common. Depending on condition I have seen them go
for from around $35 to a little over $100 (for one in
excellent condition).\
The really rare item is the SM-90 screen modulator
that WRL produced for the Globe Chief series. I had
one back in 1959 and it took years before I finally
found another one to re-create my original station.
My original Novice station was a Globe Chief 90A and
Hallicrafters S-107 receiver. I added a WRL 755 VFO
and SM-90 when I upgraded to General in November 1959.

I have a GC 90 in working condition, but needs some
cosmetic work on cabinet. 755-A also needs same. I am
not familiar with the market value of either, so
opinions are welcome.
