Too much off topic stuff.

Glenn.. you shouldnt shoot your mouth off about what you don't know about.
Cleaning tube sockets, tube pins, all connectors, pots, and relays comes
with the territory of a proper overhaul of ANY tube type radio...octal or
minature tubes.. makes no difference.

Even new in box tubes are now  frequently showing up with corroded tube
pins..

Caig De-Oxit D-5 is the stuff of choice.
Treat both..and repeatedly insert and remove the tube while still wet with
the stuff.
