Tired of Irish Fest?
There's still time to come out to the Lighthouse Special Event Station that we have set up.
Today, operating from 8:00 AM - 2:30 PM, and teardown after that.
If you are a new ham and are worried about not knowing how to operate, we can teach you.
This is NOT a high pressure contest. It's a fun event. I personally contacted two Canadian lighthouses on the 20 meter beam.
The vertical station was making contacts on 40 meters, and also on 17 meters making DX contact with a lighthouse in Scotland.
You can come out and watch or we can get you on the microphone, too. Of course, we also welcome you to help us take down
the equipment.
Our joint ORC / LEFROG operating event for the International Lighthouse Lightship Weekend continues today,
with equipment set-up and On-Air at the Port Washington 1860 Light Station.

Remember:
· PARKING: Please do NOT park directly in front of the museum – leave that area open for Museum guests.
· BRING: We will have limited water and soft drinks available - bring your own food, a portable chair, hat, sunscreen and anything else needed for outdoor activities.
· OPERATORS: To accommodate as many operators as possible, you may initially sign up for 30 or 60 minute operating time slots. You may reserve additional operating time, if available, at the event. Operator schedules will be posted at each radio location. If you sign up to operate, please arrive early enough to familiarize yourself with the radio equipment and logging procedures.
If unable to attend in person, consider working us on 20 or 40 meter phone. And of course, spot us if you can.
Hope to see you at the Lighthouse!!
73,
Tom
