 Note: I was surprised to recently learn of a hamfest in southeast Wisconsin that is apparently still being held in early August especially since most hamfests throughout the country have been cancelled this year due to the virus situation. 
Yesterday I reached out to hamfest's contact & he confirmed they are still holding the hamfest. 
I am not advocating attending a hamfest during a virus pandemic so you will have to use your own judgement as to whether you might consider it safe to attend a gathering like a hamfest.
