NEW PARTNERSHIP:
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) and the National Weather Service
(NWS) have announced a new partnership to provide timely winter storm information to
travelers.  This weather-related information will be displayed on the state's 511wi.gov
website and phone system, as well as on dynamic message signs around Wisconsin.

WEB PAGE LAYOUT CHANGE:
On or shortly after March 30, 2015 all NWS web sites in the central and upper midwest
will have new appearance. This is in response to required web site infrastructure
consolidation that will occur by the end of 2015. Make sure to visit your favorite NWS
website to relocate your favorite links.


STORM SPOTTER CLASSES:
Annual storm spotter classes are now in gear across the Badger state. These
programs are free and open to the public. Learn how storms develop, how to report severe
weather, and how to stay safe.  The first southeast Wisconsin class is March 17th at 6:30
PM at Carroll University in Waukesha. Unless noted the programs are for beginners and
open the public. You do not have to be a spotter to attend.

DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME BEGINS THIS WEEKEND:
DST begins at 2 Am Sunday morning March 8th. Advance your clocks forward 1 hour.
Also, please make sure th change the batteries in your weather radios and smoke
detectors. Milwaukee Sunrise and sunset for March 8th is 7:16AM and 6:49 PM.


WISCONSIN TORNADO AWARENESS WEEK:
Is from April 13 - 17th. The state wide mock tornado drill is set for Thursday April 16th,
assuming no severe weather within the state. Minnesota will have the same schedule.
