<FLARC> General Meeting reminder, 21Feb2012

Greetings, FLARCians - -

Tuesday evening, 21 Feb 2012 we will meet at 7:30PM at UW Space Place, 2300 S. Park St, Madison,
in our usual fashion.

Nicholas has reviewed the FLARC bylaws and
reformatted them in a form that may post in a more browser-friendly format on
the website.

Our featured program on the 21stwill be Thomas/KE6CBR discussing his through-the-roof mobile
direction-finding antenna installation.

Along with the Technician class offered the weekend
of Feb 25-26, there will be a VE session on Sunday, Feb 26 at 3:30 PM
for
those wishing to test for an upgrade (or new) amateur radio license.

The Wisconsin QSO
Party will be upon us on March
11-12. If you have questions that you’d like answered before
the contest,
Tuesday’s meeting is your opportunity to have them
addressed.  Rules and such may be found at:
http://www.warac.org/wqp/wqp.htm

AES SuperFest is the weekend of March 30-31;
Ray has invited FLARC to have a club table at SuperFest,
but I have dawdled
until we have some FLARC members committed to manning the table to meet and
greet folks who are interested in knowing more about FLARC.
If you are
planning to attend SuperFest and would be willing to spend some time at the
FLARC table telling folks about FLARC and our activities,
please make your
availability known to an officer?
We may already have missed our
chance at a FLARC table, but reserving one that we cannot staff is a disservice
to FLARC and SuperFest.

The March FLARC program (20Mar2012) will feature a presentation by Gary Cannalte /
WU9U.
Because of Gary’s obligations
as the Chief Meteorologist, the general interest program with Gary will start at 7:30
(so he can get back
to the station in time for his evening broadcast obligations) and we will do
the business part of the meeting after the break.

Thank you for your attention,

73,
Frederick
