Subject: [WisconsinD-STAR] ILLW Special Event Station 8/18 & 8/19 with D-STAR
The Ozaukee Radio Club and LeFrog club will be operating
a Special Event Station for the International Lighthouse Lightship Weekend.
This is Saturday August 18th, and Sunday August 19th, 2012, during
the Port Washington's Maritime Heritage Festival.
We will be at the 1860 Light Station and Museum in
Port Washington, WI.
Local Ozaukee county radio club members hope to contact members
of the Luxembourg Amateur Radio Society on the 10th anniversary of
the dedication of the 1860 Light Station tower and lantern. The
tower and lantern restoration was made possible by the country of
Luxembourg as a gift to the people of the Port Washington area of
Luxembourg descent, and as a memorial to those American service
men that liberated their country from German occupation in 1944.
We will have a tri-band beam for 20-15-10m, but will
concentrate on 20m, depending on band conditions.
We will also operate a D-STAR station.
We created a Special Event QSL card as well.
Sat 18th 7am - 5pm Central (1200 - 2200 UTC)
Sun 19th 7am - 3pm Central (1200 - 2000 UTC)
Band: 20m
D-STAR: Repeater KC9LKZ C and Reflector 019C
