I am using DX Sherlock for alerts on possible 2 meter band openings. I signed up with them using my phone's email address, so it sends a text message to the phone.

Maybe we could get a few people that are around the radio or computer sent a text message to those who want to get the info.
Just a thought

Subject: [La Crosse Hams] DX spoting
Hello,
Well... I guess there was a 2 meter opening a few days back & I missed yet enother one. SO.... I got to thinking, I am not always at my PC to read the emails from DX Sherlock witch is the one i use, however i am never far from a radio in my free time when i don't have other things i am going and enjoyong. I was wondering what other use for DX spotting? I was also wondering if there was a App. out there to get DX spots on my cell phone.
Any suggestions on a good beacon in my area "Wisconsin", for those outside my area. My grid is EN43QT. There are so many 2 meter beacons it somtimes like, Holy radio waves batman! wicth ones to tune Hi Hi.
I have also stated looking at General covage recievers but do have a couple scanners that pick up 2 meters when my radio is in use otherwise i can just have my rig on scan in the back ground.
Thank you for your time.
