    Hi again,

For those who are interested in working farther on VHF
and UHF, here's two links we pay close attention to.

    http://www.mountainlake.k12.mn.us/ham/aprs/path.cgi?map=na
is a real-time indicator. It assesses path lengths based off
APRS station reports. It can toss out some false info from
time to time, but overall, it's a useful tool. This map should
become more and more yellow/orange as we head into
Saturday and beyond. Refresh it frequently and notice how
often times, the color improves some toward the overnight
hours and thru mid-morning.

    http://www.dxinfocentre.com/tropo.html is what many
refer to as "The Hepburn Tropo Forecast Maps" These
are one person's forecast of what he thinks propagation
may be on V/UHF, based on what he sees on weather maps.
They update about 1pm every day, and it's interesting to see
how the trends change.
The current forecast for Sat. right thru next Tuesday indicates
a solid chance for enhancement. So keep your ears open
and make sure to make some noise on the bands.
