[WIham] dipole vs yagi

ok well my powerfull rig camw today.  works really well do some good reports. , it will proform even better once the now PS arrives. Now im running a dimound 510 verital on my tower great ant. would not  trade for nothing works great. For simplex I was thinking & it was sugjested  somthing more directal would  work better. Now there all kinda plans on the net for both a dipole and a yagi. dipole are in my veiw easyer to build. plus ive never tuned a yagi so i dont know were to start there. LOL. the dipole is easy make and tune cut it long and cut to res. you want. So wat would proform better in the long run a yagi or a dipole. I am lening to a dipole made from tubing and put It on a rotor. then  could work north to South and east to west that way. I know there both a good ant. just looking for veiw of other hams that have been playing radio longer than myself. if I could find a old tv ant it would be pretty strait forward to make it a 2 meter ant. Ive just got every thing to build a dipole out of tubing.
