[WIham] 146.430 FM Simplex net *ON* 8pm Thur.

    This is KC9BQA in southern Sheboygan county.   Since 
July 2008, I've been calling an FM simplex net on Thursdays, 
on 146.430, starting at 8pm.   

    I run this net as an individual, and it's a fairly informal, 
round-table type net.   All are welcome to listen along or say 
hello.   The only purpose of this net is to stir up more activity 
on less-used portions of 2 meters.   

    I'm always looking for DX-type check-ins.   On the FM 
side, I have a vertical up 90', and I put out 150w from a good 
QTH.   If you have a vertical beam, point it toward me and 
see what happens.   We listen hard for the weak ones.   

    Of course, you also have WV9E's 146.460 FM simplex 
net every Thursday night, at 8:30pm.   WV9E is in Onalaska, 
just north of La Crosse.

    PS:   Many of us in S WI would like to know who gets on 
the SSB or FM Simplex side of any VHF/UHF band up in 
Central and Northern WI.   We encourage those guys to make 
themselves known, so we can start pointing our antennas north 
and making new VHF friends.
