If you enjoy activity on 2m simplex, then look toward
southern Sheboygan county every Thursday at 8pm on
146.430. I call a friendly activity net; all are welcome.
No formal protocol, or rules. The only purpose is to stir up
more activity on lesser-used portions of 2m.

I do have a a bit more detail on kc9bqa.com. Think of
my website as a V/UHF newspaper for a wide area
surrounding WI. If you read the paper for a few minutes
once or twice a week, you're all caught up. Lots of info
there, including how to make more contacts and work more
DX on V/UHF.

For this Thur. FM net, I call CQ with a vertical up 90'
and 150w. Get out pretty well with that. But I love DX,
so if you're out of range of the vertical (let's say beyond
100 miles) then email me prior to the net and I'll try to point
your way with a 10 element vertical beam up 75'. With
that antenna, I get more into the 100-200 mile range, without
any real enhancement.

The whole idea is to find more pockets of FM simplex
and SSB activity on 2m, in and close to WI. Please spread
the word to anyone you can think of who might be interested.

    Questions, comments? Just email.

    73,
