I was very glad to read this email from WV9E and see how
they keep improving their FM net in the La Crosse area.
Adding a vertical yagi to their mix will mean increased range.
I hope many of you take them up on their offer and email
dave at wv9e.net so they will know to look for you with that beam.
I know I will be checking in that way, from clear across the state.

Dave, John W9RPM and myself have been working together
for a few years now to increase VHF/UHF activity all across WI
and surrounding states. I think it's great that we have nets from
both western and eastern WI on the same night.
** I strongly encourage someone from central or northern
WI to start something similar. I know there has to be guys on
FM simplex from all corners of WI. It would be great to hear
more from the guys north of Hwy. 10.** If you have ideas or
even a slight interest, email either myself or Dave, and we can
discuss the concept. Also, if there is already such a net, then
let us know about it.

I haven't posted about my 146.460 FM net for a few weeks
because it's on a long holiday vacation. More details about that
are at kc9bqa.com. I plan on re-starting the FM net from SE
WI on either Jan. 6 or Jan 13, 2011. I will email with details
at that time.

      73,
