Don,
Try this...
Put on your RF attenuator.
See if that kills the garbage. If it does, you are probably getting
front end overload.
Now check the AM band with the attenuator and look for strong signals
and go from there.
With all the rain, everything is changing. I get interference all the
time from 1640 AM.
