RARC FIELD DAY !
Riverland Amateur Radio Club has found a location for field day located just south west of Caledonia, MN with an elevation of 1175 feet. We will be located on a knoll of a old country farmstead. Only one neighbor a block away, no power lines! Some tall old pine trees in an old wind break to throw some wire into. An old farm dog and a young hunting dog will (help) us out. Shelter if the weather gets bad. We will have room for the all of the club's antenna and radio gear plus room for camping trailers tents screen tents. This should be a great place to operate from for field day! It is 30 miles from my house on the north side of La Crosse going over to Minnesota by I-90. The place is right off of Hwy 44 on Ewald Road just south of Caledonia on the right (west) side of the road. Easy to get to! I will post a map tonight if I can get it to work.
This is a RARC project but like always YOU ALL are invited to come and play with us!
Please let me know if you are interested! E-mail or call me, Night (home) 608-781-1221 Day (work) 608-791-9758.
FOR THE FLYERS in the group we are within sight of the airport!
Last year the RARC was beat by the Viroqua, WT9M group by SIX POINTS! Let's show them this year.
One more thing! This Saturday is KID'S DAY 12:00 noon to 6:00 PM. I will be on from home with some of the neighborhood kids. I hope to hear you on too!
73! Terry
