Good evening all,

This up coming meeting on March 1st we have an activity planned. With this we have gathered up many different models of radios for viewing and asking any questions. The hopes with this is to have radios for people to see and touch in person. This should be very informative as we don’t have any amateur radio supply stores near by. I myself do hope that individuals that have gotten licensed in the last few years take the time to stop by and view these radios. May help you make a decision on a radio on down the road.

Also, please do not think you need to be a club member to show up to this activity. Please stop by and look either way. I coordinated with Dave (WA9GBC) to have the Red Cross building open at 5pm local to start carrying radios in. Please come early if you can to take a look, as after the meeting most people will be wanting to pack up and head home. Below is a list of who is bringing what radios. Please pass this word along and invite others.

W9AWE - Elecraft K3, Icom IC-746pro
NR9Q - Yaesu FTDX-101d, Yaesu FT-991a, Yaesu FT2d
W9US - Icom IC-7610, Xiegu G90
KE0MHJ - Icom IC-705, Icom IC-7100, Yaesu FT-400XDR
KD9VUW - Yaesu FT-450d, Anytone 778uv
WM4D - IC-7300, Yaesu FT-891
WB9EWM - Elecraft KX3
W9DP - Flex 6400 (remote)

If you would like to bring another radio that is not on this please please let me know at NR9Q at hotmail.com<mailto:NR9Q at hotmail.com>. That or reply letting people know via the reflector. If you don’t want to use the reflector, just email me and I will add you in.

Thanks to everyone that is volunteering to take the time to unhook their radios and box them up and bring them in. I know this can be a fair amount of work and is much appreciated. 73
