Danny W9DP From w9dp at w9dp.us Sat Sep 24 11:06:33 2022 From: w9dp at w9dp.us (w9dp at w9dp.us) Date: Sat, 24 Sep 2022 10:06:33 -0500 Subject: [WIARC] Western Illinois ARC newsletter and meeting notice Message-ID: <026701d8d027$3c732270$b5596750$@w9dp.us> The October issue of the Western Illinois ARC newsletter is available for viewing. It can be seen at: https://w9awe.org/newsletter/ The October meeting of the WIARC will be held on October 5 at 7:00 PM at the Red Cross in Quincy. There will be a program by N9JF on working the Illinois QSO Party after the business meeting. The Illinois QSO Party occurs on Sunday October 16 this year and runs from 12:00 noon until 8:00 PM local time, 1700 through 0100 October 17 UTC. Last year was another record for logs turned in but we still only had a handful of club members get on. Please spend a few hours making QSO's during the ILQP this year. If you are not sure what is needed to operate of log, come to the meeting and ask your questions, or if you cannot attend, I am sure N9JF would be glad to answer you questions via email. ILQP rules can be found at https://w9awe.org/ilqp/ Read through them prior to the program so you can have an idea of questions you may want answered during the program. There is an email reflector used mainly for posting activity and getting questions answered http://www.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/wiarc The list is a great asset in preparing for and operating the ILQP. Find out what logging software everyone likes best, call signs of the mobile and rover stations (as well as their intended plans) and know ahead of time what portable stations are going to be on those semi-rare county lines and corners. You can join the list at the posted link. See you at the meeting October 5.
