Recently I received on that only had two $.01 stamps on both the envelope addressed to me and on the SASE going back. There was also a note stamped on front of both envelopes referencing the law that allows this. I had to look into it to see what it covered and during my search, I found a blog that goes into some detail about the topic and the restrictions that apply. If you want to learn more, you might want to check out the link. https://www.kimberlyshawgraphics.com/blog/my-2-cents/ Has anyone else heard about this? Below is copied from the Peoria Amateur Radio Club Facebook page (thanks W9US for the heads up) "Due to damage from storms over the weekend of August 20th, the East Peoria Event Center will no longer be available for us to use, therefore Midwest Superfest 2022 will be held at Expo Gardens in Peoria. All pink tickets that say Midwest Superfest 2022 will be valid. We are updating our website with more details asap, and will post more information as we have it." You might want to pass this along to anyone you think might want to know about it. It can be seen at: https://w9awe.org/newsletter/ Prior to the September meeting there will be a tailgate flea market. Because of the tailgate session, we will be meeting at Moorman Park with the tailgate session starting at 5:30 PM and the club meeting starting at 7:00 PM. Bring your surplus radio or computer stuff, bring some cash and be ready to deal. The tailgate is open to everyone, tell your friends and neighbors, anyone you think may be interested and invite them to stay for the meeting afterwards. I understand we have a new ham in town, Kristen, KD9VQF. Kristen passed her exam at the VE session held in Quincy on August 6 here in Quincy. If you run into Kristen, be sure to congratulate her and welcome her to the hobby. On a sadder note, the wife of a long time Quincy ham passed away recently. Kristi Ruxlow, XYL of Jim Ruxlow, N9SN, passed away on August 19. Please join me in offering condolences to Jim and the family. See you in Moorman Park on September 7.
