The June edition of the Western Illinois ARC FEEDLINE is available for
vi2ewing and can be found at:

The June meeting will be Wednesday June 2, 7:30 PM and currently is planned
to be at Wavering Park in Quincy. If the weather is not cooperating, the
room at the Twin Oaks is reserved and will be our backup location.

We will be having a tailgate flea market before the July meeting, please
spread the word, all are invited and it is free. The plan is to have the
meeting at Wavering Park and start the flea market at 5:00 PM. Bring you
unwanted items and see if someone else wants them worse than you , or come
prepared to buy gems you might see there.

Six meters has been open, most activity has been on FT8 but I have heard a
few SSB and CW signals as well. Several local stations have been heard on 6
meters recently, get on and join the fun. It does not take a big antenna, or
even a 6 meter antenna, I have made all my QSO's on 6 this summer with my 80
meter dipole.

The ARRL June VHF contest is just around the corner and 6 meter conditions
usually make for a lot of activity, but there are other VHF and UHF bands,
we need to use them if we expect to keep them.

June brings Field Day and again this year, we are not planning to gather in
person but to operate from our home stations and contribute our logs as an
aggregate club score. The Hannibal club will be doing the same, can we turn
in a higher score the Hannibal? We can if we all get on and turn in our
logs.

Contest University was held virtually again this year and I thought the
highlight presentation was by Jose CT1BOH with his presentation on
predicting HF propagation using data derived from PSK reporter. You can
watch it on YouTube

See you all June 2nd.
