So far I have only had requests from a few club members wanting the link to attend. If you have not used Zoom or Goto Meeting, it is very simple to do; you simply click on the link I send you and answer a couple of questions and you will be added to the meeting. You have the option of using a camera or not, or if you cannot or do not want to join the group through the internet, you may use a phone and join as audio only. One is an older model dated 2018-10-29 which is an OXCO and is good for time accuracy and freq accuracy when calibrated.? It does have an RS232 jack. Two are 2019-08-03 GPSDO with DB9 and are best for frequency accuracy.? These each have a DB-9 for RS232 comm. I'll consider most any offer to give them a good home.... I worked with Dave W1HKJ on a new capability in FLDigi called "FMT" which is an extremely accurate frequency measurement capability. http://www.w1hkj.com/files/fldigi/ The best one can do with this is on the order of 1 millihertz accuracy.? Doing this will likely require you to have a programmable GPSDO like the Bodnar Mini GPS.? Using one allowa you to put a reference frequency right next to the "Unknown" and you can correct for rig drift and frequency inaccuracies using this method.? The CSV file that FLDigi generates has this correction built in.You can see the results from this last Sunday's quick test that Connie K5CM did where the FLDigi users are most all < 0.5Hz.? Doppler can get in the way of course which explains most of the error seen.http://k5cm.com/nov%2001%202020%20fmt.htm For example...here's my measurement of 2.5MHz WWV during one of it's stable periods. | Average: | 2500000.0011 | | Std Dev: | 0.011419748 | Mike W9MDB From dpease at adams.net Wed Nov 4 13:38:46 2020 From: dpease at adams.net (dpease at adams.net) Date: Wed, 4 Nov 2020 12:38:46 -0600 Subject: [WIARC] meeting on Goto Meeting tonight Message-ID: <0ac001d6b2d9$bb025d30$31071790$@adams.net> One last reminder that the November meeting of the WIARC will be held online using Goto Meeting starting at 7:00 PM. Then the club name was changed to add the word amateur so the patches were no longer appropriate. I may have one floating around somewhere and if I find it I will take a picture and put it on the reflector to send to everybody. Good idea for a logo. NA9Q was positive that the club added the word Amateur later to differentiate from Citizen Band Radio. My thinking was it is classic but not much different than 100's of other radio club logos, but others may think otherwise. Thanks for your suggestion, it will go into the pot with any others that may be suggested. The email reflector does not allow attachments but I will email the picture I have to anyone that would like to see it. Danny W9DP ?Get BlueMail for Android ?
