From k9fhx at k9fhx.com Fri Mar 6 15:04:07 2020 From: k9fhx at k9fhx.com (David Gill) Date: Fri, 06 Mar 2020 14:04:07 -0600 Subject: [WIARC] Important dates, Annual dinner Message-ID: <5E62ACB7.4030508@k9fhx.com> 2 very important dates to remember. April 1^st we will have a regular meeting at the Red Cross starting at 7pm. April 18^th we will have our annual dinner meeting. Please make your reservations including the number in your party via email to dpease at adams.net as soon as possible. David, k9fhx, 73 Have received this from Danny, thank you Danny and Jim Date is confirmed with Bailey House for Saturday April 18^th . Since they close at 8:00 PM I asked for the meal to be ready at 6:00 PM. Cost will be about $16.00 per person, not including tax and gratuity. That includes the buffet and coffee or tea. The restaurant prefers to receive payment for the meal with a single check, same as we have done on years past at the Patio. Beer or wine may be purchased and paid for by the individual. Jim Funk has confirmed David Cripe, NM0S, will be providing a program after the meeting. He will need a projector and screen. I think I can provide the screen, we will still need a projector. We will have to advertise the cost of the meal high enough to cover the cost of the meal, tax and gratuity. The restaurant would like the final head count by Thursday morning. I will collect reservations dpease at adams.net or my cell phone 217-430-2046; Danny -- THANK YOU for deleting my address, any other addresses, and personal information, from this e-mail, if you plan to forward it. I have had conversations with our club officer's vial phone and email. The only one I have not talked to is Chris and he is on Military Leave. It's been decided to _cancel_ our April 1^st meeting. As for our April 18^th dinner there has been _no decision_ as yet. In a few weeks an announcement will be made one way or the other about the dinner. Our next meeting is May 6^th . The important thing is for all to take care and stay healthy. It can be found at: http://www.w9awe.org/feedline.pdf As noted earlier, the April club meeting has been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. At this time the April 18 dinner is still on, but that may change before we get to that date. More on the dinner as we get closer to the date. While many of us are staying at home, what a better excuse to use some of the time to get on the air. Ham Radio makes it easy to socialize with exposing each other to any virus or germs. The April 18th dinner meeting will not happen. At our next meeting in May (I hope), we can decide what we want to do about having or forgetting about a club dinner meeting. Stay in and stay well.
