That's interesting...this just happened to a friend of mine in the South Florida DX club too.
We had some fun with the guy before he finally figured out we had his number....
He was pretending to be the Prez of the club...out-of-state...wanted to make donation to VA org....$500 in gift cards....just email him the numbers....yeah right....

Attention Members of WIARC

There has been some fraudulent emails requesting gift cards or funds
being sent in my name for the club.
These are sent with a different email address and are not real. Don't
respond to these emails. Remember any expenditures of club money is
discussed at club meetings.

K9fhx, David.

THANK YOU for deleting my address, any other addresses, and personal
information, from this e-mail, if you plan to forward it. THANK YOU also
for using "Bcc" instead of "To" and "Cc" when initiating both individual
and group e-mails. This helps prevent spammers, hackers and radicals
from obtaining addresses, and thus the proliferation of spam. 'In God We
Trust' Will be on every e-mail I send out from now on because, I don't
want to lose our right to say it!
