ideas NB4C has come up with for a club logo. These are all just ideas and
are also considered a rough draft.

I added a couple more logos that NB4C sent me. Please take a look and
comment on what you like, don't like or have suggestions to improve. These
are all rough drafts, there are lots of areas to be touched up, colors,
fonts, size, layout, even new ideas are all fair game. Anyone else that has
anything they created, feel free to let us see it.

Subject: [WIARC] Very cool idea for CW practice

Did not know if there are any people in the club that might want to practice CW, but I found info that I would like to pass along. I will post two links below. The first one is a YouTube video that explains what it is. The second link is the link to the website that has the code practice. In a few words what I found interesting about it, is that this is real QSO?s to other people over the internet. Just incase you are not ready to get on the air with you skill level. On the about page of the second link they sell the really small board that allows you to plug you key into you USB port. I thought this was a neat idea for around $25. The website is also broken up into channels and can support multiple individuals on one channel. Hope this helps someone that want to learn. 73

I participated in this event last fall and it surprised me how much I
enjoyed it.

March 13 and 14, a virtual Ham Expo. Last year's event was free, this year
it is $10.00 for early ticket sales, $12.50 the day of the event. The cost
covers both day as well as all the online features that last for 30 days
after the live event ends.

I failed to mention that dues for 2021 are due January 1, 2021. Dues have
not changed in many years, for most of us it is $20.00, family members in
the same household are an additional $10.00 each. There are other options
and can be found in the club bylaws at:

Scroll down to Article VII for the dues structure. If you have any question
about dues, feel free to ask any executive board member.

Make the check payable to the Western Illinois Amateur Radio Club but, If
you would, mail your dues directly to K9VXD, rather than the club PO box,
that will save Arnold having to get out to check the club PO box as often.
