In case you are still looking for something to occupy your waking hours, you
probably now have the time to study for that upgrade, or learn that new
digital mode, or brush up on your CW, or learn how to handle traffic (not
all traffic is handled with phone or CW).

There has been increased traffic on the repeater, let's all start monitoring
it all day and even drop your call once in a while to see if you can round
up a QSO. Get on what appears to be a dead band and call CQ for several
minutes, you might be pleasantly surprised.

Make a new friend on the air whenever you get the chance, whether a local or
A semi-rare DX operator. You could volunteer to be a DX station QSL manager.

Maybe you are thinking about buying a different radio, you have plenty of
time to research which one and who has the best deal. Spring is here and the
COVID-19 outbreak will end someday soon, why not get that new antenna ready
to go up?

Volunteer to help with storm spotting, work on your go bag, take those
prerequisite courses for an AUXCOMM class, sign up for the EC-001,
Introduction to Emergency Communications. If you have taken the EC-001 the
next step could be EC-016, Public Service and Emergency Communications
Management for Radio Amateurs.
