[WIARC] dinner reminder

A reminder, the club's annual dinner is this Saturday evening. If you have
not yet made reservations, please do so  quickly. Reservations may be made
with Arnold, K9VXD at circuitrider1934 at gmail.com or by calling 217-242-8996.
Reservations are needed by Wednesday evening but we can usually squeeze in a
couple of extras up until Friday evening. If you make a reservation and find
you cannot attend, please let Arnold know as soon as possible, otherwise you
will be responsible for the cost of your meal. 

The dinner is mostly a social affair, feel free to bring you family or
friends, you do not need to be a club member or even a ham.

We will again have our dinner at The Patio, 133 S. 4th in Quincy. There will
be a social time (with cash bar) starting at 6:00 PM with the meal to be
served around 7:00 PM. I have not yet had the menu confirmed but it will
likely be much the same as years past, salad, roast beef, fried chicken,
potato, vegetable, dessert and tea or coffee, all served family style. The
cost of the meal is $17.00 per person, taxes and gratuity included. Our ARRL
Central Division Director, Kermit Karlson, W9XA, will be the speaker after
the meal. Kermit's program should be of general interest, not focused an
Amateur Radio.

Arnold will be collecting the money for the meal and will take dues payments
during the social time prior to the meal.

Kermit has volunteered to meet with any interested ARRL members Saturday
afternoon, details of place and time are still being worked out. Kermit will
address any questions we might have related to the ARRL during that meeting.
This will be a pretty informal get together but we would like an idea of who
plans to be there so if you are interested, please drop me an email or give
me a call. I will send out final details once I have them.
