The December meeting will be Wednesday, Dec. 7th, at 7:30 PM in the big
classroom at the Red Cross, 3000 N. 23rd. Among other things we will be
voting on new officers to 2017. The nominating committee has come up with at
least one candidate for each open position and nominations will be accepted
from the floor prior to the vote. As an added incentive to get more of you
to the meeting (thanks to a donation from Jerry Golden, WJ9G), we will be
raffling off a new 2016 ARRL Amateur Radio Handbook at the December meeting.
Dues for 2017 are due and may be paid at the December meeting or by mailing
them to the club PO Box. Dues are the same as they have been for many years,
most of us will be paying $20.00 but there are options for families with
more than one licensed ham living in the same household, students and
non-voting members.
$20.00 for Technician class or higher
$5.00 each for students or non- voting members or additional family members
living in the same household
Our annual dinner will be in place of a January business meeting and we are
again scheduled for dinner at The Patio, 133 S. 4th in Quincy. We will have
a social time starting at 6:30 PM with the meal served about 7:00 PM. Menu
is likely to be salad fried chicken, roast beef, potato, vegetable dessert
and coffee or tea. Cost will be around $17.00 to $18.00 per person, exact
price and exact menu will be posted later. Reservations are needed and can
be made with NG9R at 217-430-2046 or dpease at adams.net The program following
the meal will be about the recent National Parks on the Air (NPOTA)
activity, presented by Jim Funk, N9JF. Everyone is invited to the dinner,
you do not need to be a club member or even a ham radio operator, bring your
family, and friends.
