Please register at: https://attendee.gotowebinar.com/register/3526723503252994562 We do apologize for the short notice, however we actually had no idea of this was achievable as our internet hotspots did not work inside the forum room last year. Please enjoy and Thank You for your continued patronage of Yaesu Products! I have had these hanging or stowed in the garage for years and need to move them out to someone who will put them to use (or is looking to fill the empty spaces in their garage). 1. A pair of 9 element 2m beams with stacking and phasing kits. Made by Tany in Japan. Model 9Y2K beams. Each beam is 11 feet long and has 11 dB gain. Complete with the stacking kit. Stacked the gain will goes to 14 dB. These are in good condition and would require just the fabrication of the stacking kit cross boom to mast plate and U-bolts. I have the spec sheet for the beams but some details are in Japanese. These are well built and would stay in the air through Midwest weather. 2. A HyGain Model 28 long boom 8 element two meter beam. Catalog #2085 14 foot boom, 14.5 dB gain Needs some very minor work. Still sold by HyGain for about $100. Will Take 250W CW, 500W PEP, ICAS. I have the instruction manual for it. 3. A Rohn 20G top section. Reasonable shape but with one small crack in one leg near the top where it tapers in toward the mast tube. That should not cause any problem. It isn't new but would be quite serviceable in any installation. 4. 11 foot long foam filled fiberglass tube, 2-1/2 inch diameter, thick walled. New never used. I was going to make a linearly loaded 160 M vertical but never got the project going. 5. Rohn 25G fold over base plate. Used but in serviceable condition. Model BPH25G. These sell for $280 or more new. Any reasonable offer on items 1, 2, and 3 and they are yours. Item 4 is yours for the asking, but you have to haul it away. I would be asking $125 for item 5. I have other items which I will be posting As I have time, watch here for the emails. Mike NA9Q From dpease at adams.net Thu May 26 21:21:02 2016 From: dpease at adams.net (Danny Pease) Date: Thu, 26 May 2016 20:21:02 -0500 Subject: [WIARC] Western Illinois ARC newsletter and activities Message-ID: <046401d1b7b6$089490a0$19bdb1e0$@adams.net> The June issue of the Western Illinois ARC Feedline is available for viewing. It can be seen at: http://www.w9awe.org/feedline.pdf The June meeting of the WIARC will be Wednesday evening June 1st, 7:30 PM, at the Red Cross, 3000 N. 23rd in Quincy. I am sure we will be discussing details about Field Day, as well as usual business. Field Day is June 25th and 26th. As we decided at last month's meeting, we will be joining forces with the Hannibal club in Hannibal. The site is located at the Marion County Ambulance training Center, 142 Jaycee Drive. Set up will take place on Saturday morning, operating starts at 1800 UTC and runs through 18oo UTC on Sunday. Teardown will be Sunday afternoon. There will be a carry in meal on Saturday evening, I assume about 6:00 PM. From what I understand, the Hannibal club is providing meat, we all need to bring a covered dish or two to share. More details at the meeting on Wednesday. Friday June 17th is the final day of the Bicycle Across Missouri, ending in Hannibal. There is a need for 5 or 6 radio operators to help with communications that day. There will be several checkpoints, the closer to the end the later in the day you will be needed. Please let me know if you can help and I will get the word to Don, KD0HHN. As it stands right now, there will be a Technician class starting in Hannibal on Saturday July 23rd and running every Saturday through August 6th. The test session in Quincy on August 13 will serve as the test for the class. I believe the facility is scheduled for the entire day all three days but the class time will be more along the lines of 9:00 AM until 1:00 PM. We can use more instructors, if you are interested let me know. If you know of anyone interested, please pass the word, I should have a flier at the June meeting. The study material will be the ARRL License Manual and it is very important the students have the manual and have read the first few chapters prior to the first class session. See you all on June 1st. Danny NG9R dpease at adams.net 217-430-2046
